Avinash and his family live on my street! I met them at our neighborhood fourth of July party.  When we setup the session we decided to start out at their house, which was great because little Avinash was very shy at first but he had his warm up period in his own surroundings, which helps a lot.  We started with a little reading with dad then headed out for the park.

I love summer and especially summer photo sessions.  This sweet little one is Fischer and he's adorable - it took us a bit of work to get him to smile but it was totally worth it! Love these!  These were taken at Silo Park in Greenwood Village, CO - one of my absolute favorite locations for photoshoots.

DTC Wedding Photographer, The Preserve - Greenwood Village | Hilton Doubletree Denver Tech Center Wedding | Alexiss & Jeremy

Alexiss & Jeremy were married at a gorgeous private residence in the Preserve neighborhood in Greenwood Village, CO.  I love that they included Claire, Jeremy's 3 year old daughter in the ceremony by giving her a ring.  They picked ivory and pink with a hint of bling for their wedding colors.   This wedding was one of my favorites this year! It was so much fun to work with Alexiss and Jeremy and I wish them the best!

At the rehearsal dinner all the kiddos got to swim and play

They did a smudging during their ceremony - led by Alexiss's grandfather. A smudging is a Native American tradition and it

is done to purify the body mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally using either sage or sweet 

grass. As the smoke rises into the heavens it carries our prayers and well wishes to the Creator and into the universe.

The reception hall, the citrus room at the Hilton Doubletree Denver Tech Center (DTC) was decked from floor to ceiling with beautiful white curtains and sparkling chandeliers.  The room along with all the floral arrangements was designed & set up by Design Works.  They did an amazing job transforming this once brightly colored orange, red and green room into a cozy reception hall masterpiece.

Kersey, CO Engagement Session

Haley & Andy's engagement session was held on a ranch out East near Kersey, CO! This was my first photoshoot in a cow pasture and my first shoot with a horse! It was so much fun.
