November Family Fall Mini Sessions | Castle Rock, Colorado | Highlands Ranch, Colorado

Cue the sleigh bells...get out the eggnog and wrapping paper...these November mini sessions just have us soooo ready for the holidays!  So many bright, happy, festive families this year!  We love that fall in Colorado means gorgeous sunshine and snow all at once...such a magical combination! 

This year we had 3 awesome locations for our November Family Fall mini sessions!  One was announced early and two were top secret until just a bit before their sessions...making photos all the more exciting!  

These first few photos are from one of our secret locations...Daniels Park...the perfect spot for a family adventure!  The view was simply stunning and the sun was shining!

For our other secret location, we found a great wintery, foresty spot...perfect for pine cone collecting and getting out our red sleigh...it was so rustic for snowy Colorado photos!  And although it looks like we are way up in the mountains, we were actually close by in the Castle Pines area!

Our third location was one of our favorite spots for November sessions...Columbine Open Space in Castle Rock!  This spot has a red barn and wooden bridge...so charming for snowy family photos!

Pumpkin Painting

The street we live on in Highlands Ranch is amazing.  We have a 4th of July party, a Christmas hay ride, pre-trick or treating dinner,

and this year we are super excited to add a new event....

It was great!  We gathered up our paints, bought a bunch of inexpensive paint brushes, and had kiddos BYOP...

It was super fun to paint, snack on popcorn, and just watch the kids run around playing and laughing together!

 And the really funny thing was how quiet it got when everyone started concentrating on painting their pumpkin(s).  It was serious business.

 Yay for new fall traditions with friends and neighbors!

Mountain Mini Sessions | Silverthorne, Colorado

We love the adventure of being in the mountains!  We feel more alive when we are up there.  Exploring a mountain trail gets in our blood, and we daydream about our next rustic mountain adventure until we are back up there!

Our Mountain Mini Sessions gave us that same mountain thrill, and we had to share a few sneak peeks!  The view was absolutely gorgeous!

Looking back at last year's fall mini's make us all nostalgic for the coziness of fall and super excited for this year's upcoming family fall mini's!

These bright leaves and family snuggles seriously have us ready for family strolls through the park in the crisp fall air! And how magical is it to be able to treasure these fleeting moments each year?!

I just love family fall photos.  They mark the passage of another year.  They document the growth of our little ones...or not so little ones.  They capture the heart and soul of family and record our journey.  So even though the days, weeks, months, and years go by...we can hold onto these moments forever.

And they do it in one of the most beautiful times of the year!

Like when the leaves turned gold in Cottonwood Park last year!  Be still my fall loving heart!

Colorado November Fall Mini Family Photo Sessions @ Sharon Arnoldi Photography

FALL MINI SESSIONS!!!!

Fall Mini Sessions ARE HERE!!! YAY!  These always fill up so book your spot now. This year there are 4 dates - two in October for pretty yellow fall color and two in November to get that beautiful brown & red winter look.

Each location is gorgeous and has pretty lighting all day so don't worry yourself about lighting (that is my job)... be more concerned about when your kids are the happiest and lets book for then... remember that the lighting could be amazing and if you kids aren't having it you still won't love the photos.

The cost is $95 for a 30 minute session and includes a $35 product credit.  Photos from your session will be available the Monday after your session! You will come into the studio to view & place your order! I will have some really great packages & a few special items just for these sessions. An online gallery will no longer be posted for mini sessions due to online storage space limits and the presentation session will be the only time you will be able to order from your gallery.

This session was part of my 2011 fall family mini sessions! This was a 45 minute session and we held it at DeKoevend Park in Littleton, CO. 

Another cute family with twins! Sarah and Nathan are my oldest set of twins that I photograph regularly and they are so much fun to photograph!  They are up always up for anything and Sarah even comes up with cute ideas for different shots.

Highlands Ranch Family Photographer | Lair O' The Bear Park | Family

This session was part of my 2011 fall family mini sessions! This was a 45 minute session and we held it at Lair O' The Bear Park in Morrison, CO. 

Joy! This family has a lot to celebrate, and they were brave enough to bring their new arrival Brody to an outdoor session up in the foothills for family photos! Mom has a love for photos, and not only is she extremely crafty she writes a super cute blog and photos her kiddos all the time.  I love reading it.  

At the end of the session we were all being silly and I caught these two photos.  I love them, they are so much fun.

Highlands Ranch Family Photographer | Lair O' The Bear Park | L Family

This session was part of my 2011 fall family mini sessions! This was a 45 minute session and we held it at Lair O' The Bear Park in Morrison, CO. 

This family used to live on my street and they had  the opposite address as me so we'd frequently be swapping mail or sending people to the other house.  They've since moved on to a bigger house further up in the neighborhood like most of my neighbors have in the past year or two.  They have 3 beautiful girlies, all of which are super sweet.  

This shoot is always a challenge, three little girls, 2 dogs and 2 parents - its just a lot of coordinating and its not usually the parents that are difficult =) but we manage to make it happen every year.  Now this shoot is not a walk in the park, sometimes pretty hilarious at times but I like it and look forward to it every year because life isn't as exciting without a challenge.  I love dogs, and have two of my own that we include in our family photos because they are our furry children and it wouldn't be a full family portrait to leave them out.

Highlands Ranch Family Photographer | DeKoevend Park | Family

This session was part of my 2011 fall family mini sessions! This was a 45 minute session and we held it at DeKoevend Park in Littleton, CO. 

This session fell on a very unpredictable Colorado day - warm in the morning and a cold front came in the afternoon.  Their session was scheduled for later in the afternoon and even though it was a mini session we probably only made it 15-20 minutes before we had frozen miss Cara so we rescheduled for another date.  Colorado can be so unpredictable, but you can't beat this gorgeous scenery and the family even wore the same outfits so I don't think you can tell at all! 

The second day turned out much better, we had gorgeous weather and happy kiddos makes for a happy photographer!  Miss Cara has the cutest curls ever and big sis, Emma is so sweet to her.
