Garden of the Gods Engagement Session | Highlands Ranch Photographer

Tricia & Greg chose Garden of The Gods for their engagement session.  We met up one afternoon at the visitor's center - I had only talked to them on the phone, never met in person, so she told me to look for the girl with blonde, big hair! I found them and I loved this session.  Tricia and Greg have such a great connection and we had a lot of fun, laughing as we went along from shot to shot.

At one point I asked Tricia if she was OK climbing up a big rock - she agreed and climbed up.  But it wasn't until she was supposed to come down that she nervously admitted that she is scared of heights.  Scared might not be the word, more of extremely frightened. So I sent Greg up to join her and help her down. Love the shots of them on that rock and the mountains behind.

Thank you for viewing my photos.

Riverfront Park Engagement Session | Highlands Ranch Photographer

I met up with Laura & Jay last fall to photograph their engagement session at Riverfront Park.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous - we really lucked out it had been snowing the weekend before.  We finished up their session at Ink Coffee, one of my favorite places.

Downtown Littleton Surprise Proposal! | Highlands Ranch Photographer

This was seriously the most exciting thing I've photographed this year.  It was so much fun.  Jon contacted me about doing a portrait session for him and his girlfriend, Nicole.  During the portrait session he was planning to propose! So fun & romantic - lucky girl.

It was to be a surprise so we had to be very sneaky - Jon bought a gift certificate from me for a portrait session since Nicole has always wanted to have some professional photos taken and gifted it to her for her birthday in November.  I gave Jon some location suggestions then we let Nicole choose the location.  She picked downtown Littleton and we set the date for December 1.

The ring box wouldn't fit in Jon's pocket so I had them bring their coats.  It ended up being a nice and warm that day so coats may have been a little odd but Nicole didn't seem to notice.  We started at the post office and did a few photos then walked to main street.  The proposal was to happen at the old historic town hall building but we did a few shots on the way there.  Once we found the town hall I posed Nicole so she was facing away from Jon and then I got into position and had her turn around!

Watching her reaction was priceless - I have SO many great shots but I had to post this as soon as I could because it is so fun.  LOVE IT! Congratulations Jon & Nicole!!!

Then we continued to shoot their engagement session :)

More to come... this is just a sneak peek :)

Kersey, CO Engagement Session

Haley & Andy's engagement session was held on a ranch out East near Kersey, CO! This was my first photoshoot in a cow pasture and my first shoot with a horse! It was so much fun.

Red Rocks Engagement Photographer | Sneak Peek - Jessie & Ken

It had just rained about an hour before and there was a sold out concert at Red Rocks, but we set out to shoot some engagements.  It was surprisingly easy to talk out way in to the park, even drove into VIP parking to get to some of the shooting spots.

Here's a quick sneak peek:

Lone Oak Winery Engagement Session with Dogs | Meghan & Jeff's Engagements Part 2

Meghan & Jeff's Engagement Session - Part 2 - Lone Oak Winery, Burleson, TX

Meghan & Jeff shared their favorite winery with me, Lone Oak Winery in Burleson, TX.  It was still really early in the season so there weren't very many grapes on the vines but the light was amazing and everything was very green.  They brought along their two doggies, Riley & Penny.  Don't forget to check out part one of there session here: Part 1 - Meghan & Jeff - Ice Skating.

Denver Art Museum Engagement Session | Denver Engagement Session | Tiffany & Michael - Part 2

Tiffany & Michael's Engagement Session - Part 2 - Denver Art Museum

I chose the area around the Denver Art Museum for the second half of Tiffany & Michael's engagement session.  I love this area because the architecture is interesting and there are a bunch of fun spaces to photograph in.  I was hoping for a beautiful sky and some amazing sun rays, but instead we had an overcast day - I was a little disappointed.  The overcast sky provided us with a nice soft glow and now I couldn't imagine it any other way.

Ice Skating Engagement Photos | Ice Skating Parks Mall - Arlington | Meghan & Jeff, Part 1

Meghan & Jeff's Ice Skating Engagement Session - Part 1

Meghan and Jeff wanted to incorporate their love of ice skating into their engagement session so we did the shoot at the ice skating rink in the Parks Mall of Arlington, TX.  It was a warm day outside and I didn't quite think to bring a coat to the ice skating rink - it was freezing.  I just love that Jeff went from cowboy boots to ice skates.

They are very good ice skaters and both grew up ice skating, so we were able to do some spins.

Across from the rink was this very neat wall with arrows, I just couldn't resist!

Coors Field Engagement Session | Denver Engagement Session | Tiffany & Michael - Part 1

Tiffany & Michael's Engagement Session - Part 1 - Coors Field.

When Tiffany & Michael chose Coors Field as their first location for their engagement portraits I was ecstatic! I absolutely love when my clients choose fun locations for their sessions.  Tiffany's dad grew up with the third base coach of the Colorado Rockies, and was able to get us in without a fee.  Since the Rockies were at Spring training in Arizona when these were photographed, we had full run of the place.
